Yunam Peak Trek 6110 Mts. (20,046 Feet)

Yunam peak (6110 Mts.) is located near Baralacha pass. Baralacha is the gateway to Sarchu bordering Himachal & J&K. The base camp is just a few kilometers from Baralacha Pass on Manali Leh highway near Bharatpur. The peak offers an opportunity to reach 6110 Mts. on snow and scree. It also offers majestic views of the peaks in the CB (Chandra Bhaga) and the Mulkilla range. The expedition does require technical skills except for physical fitness and grit determination.

Best Time to Visit Yunam Peak Trek

The best time to visit Spiti, Lahaul & Kinnaur Valleys is between mid-May to September. These months the temperature here is around 0 to 15 degrees celsius. Snow leopard expeditions are popular during these months. Know the best time to visit Spiti and during which months as below.

Over Kunzum La Pass

Mid-May to September End - The Kunzum Pass opens from the end of June to the end of September. Between July and October, the Kunjum Pass temperature ranges from 1 degrees celsius to 10 degrees celsius. These months are the best time to visit Spiti & Kinnaur Valleys. The weather is clear these days. 

The day temperature drops to around 25 degrees celsius during the day and at night it is chilly around 0 degrees celsius. Some of the activities here in this season are very popular trekking, camping, mountain biking, and hiking, you can also enjoy them. 

One cannot access the Spiti Valley from Mid October to mid-June as the passes are blocked with snow. Spiti & Kinnaur Valley can be accessed from the Shimla side throughout the year though.

Over Rohtang Pass to Lahaul Valley

Mid-May to September End: The Rohtang Pass opens from May to the end of September. The temperature ranges from 5 degrees celsius to 15 degrees celsius. These months are the best time to visit Lahaul Valley. The weather is clear these days. The day temperature is around 25 degrees celsius during the day and at night it is chilly at around 0 degrees celsius. Some of the activities here in this season are very popular trekking, camping, mountain climbing, biking, and hiking.

Report at Base camp Naggar (2050 Mts)

Forenoon: Acclimatisation trek to the Heritage village Naggar, visit Naggar Castle, Roerich art gallery and ancient temples.
Afternoon: High rope activities, Sloth walk, Burma bridge, and Artificial wall climbing. The day ends with the bone fire after dinner.

Forenoon: River crossing and rappelling.
Afternoon: Orientation and preparation for the expedition.

Day 03: Naggar - Manali - Jispa (3200 Mts)

After breakfast drive to Jispa. En-route stop at Rohtang pass (3979 Mts) for an acclimatization walk. Thereafter we proceed ahead via Keylong to Jispa. Overnight camp at Jispa.

Jispa - Baralacha Pass (5030 Mts) - Bharatpur (4900 Mts)

Today we drive early to Bharatpur over Baralacha Pass. After spending some time at pass descend down to Bharatpur and establish the base camp near road head.

Inclusions

  • Accommodation in spacious and comfortable tents at base camp at Naggar (Ground bedding with mattresses, pillows and blankets ). There is a separate block of toilets and washrooms with running hot and cold water for male and female.
  • Accommodation in Alpine tents during the trek in higher camps 
  • Sleeping bags ( Holofill ), Rucksack, Trekking mats.
  • A variety of wholesome hygienic vegetarian meals.
  • All activities as per the itinerary.
  • Transportation/ transfers as per the itinerary.
  • Services of qualified instructors/ guides, cook, kitchen helper and mules/porters to carry camping equipment if logistics required.
  • Basic first aid kit.

Exclusions

  • Transportation to reach base camp and back to your destination. However, arrangements of traveling can be made on request.
  • Any accidental, emergency, travel or medical insurance.
  • Any expenses of a personal nature.
  • Service tax as applicable.
  • Beverages or drinks of any sort, including soft drinks or bottled / mineral water.
  • Any charges to visit monument/ heritage buildings and photography or camera charges.
  • Any transportation charges or transfers that are not mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Any charges for a manual or helicopter evacuation, hospitalization in case of a medical emergency or the like.
  • Any additional activities which are not mentioned in the itinerary.
  • The Personal porterage/horses for carrying of individual kit or baggage.
  • 5% GST

Cancellation Policy
The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

  • Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
  • Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
  • Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option is chosen on per day basis.
  • Please note and be well informed that there will be no refund of money after the package commences and if one cannot complete the activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.

  1. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour are taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures, and disputes.
  2. The booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the potential risks and hazards that can be involved in the holidays of this kind. The organizer along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  3. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you in case required
  4. The Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident, etc.

Accommodation requires a deposit - please refer to the due date mentioned on the booking confirmation.
