Overview

Svalbard Expedition Cruise
The Svalbard Expedition Cruise is an amazing journey that takes you through the middle of icebergs to the Arctic Ocean. Your journey begins with a Swan Hellenic Cruise. Svalbard or Urban East Norwegian, also known as Spitsbergen or Spitzbergen, is a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. Svalbard is in the north of mainland Europe, between the northern coast of Norway and the North Pole. The largest island here is Spitsbergen.

Nordostlandet and Agegoya are the largest, and Longyearbyen, on the coast of Spitsbergen, is the largest settlement on Svalbard. Svalbard is also often referred to as 'the land of the midnight sun'. Here in Spitsbergen, it is dark for four months of the year. But when the sun starts rising in April, the days here get longer.

There are some days in June when the sun never sets. Here you can see many types of wildlife, including walruses, reindeer, arctic foxes, beluga whales, seals, and seabirds. Start preparing for your next trip with Svalbard Cruises. Book your Svalbard cruise from India with Holiday Moods Adventure at the best deals & prices.

Explore the High Arctic wilderness within the Arctic Circle between 74? and 81? north on our Svalbard Discovery cruise on board a boutique expedition ship. Admire the striking scenery on a voyage around Norway?s outlying Svalbard archipelago where only a few intrepid adventurers and explorers have been before.

These remote islands of Spitsbergen, Nordaustlandet, and Edgeoya reveal their secrets as you come ashore to rugged landscapes bordered by tundra where wildflowers blossom under the midnight sun.

Polar bears prowl the icy wilderness for hapless walrus, beluga whales swim along and expect to see black-legged kittiwakes swooping overhead as we cruise through icy fjords and past towering glaciers. Our journey to and from the world?s most northerly town will leave you feeling on top of the world.
