Dharamsala (McLeod Ganj) - is the home of Exiled Tibetan Spiritual leader and head His Holiness the Dalai Lama.  After the Chinese occupation of Tibet in 1959, His Holiness Dalai Lama escaped from Tibet to India and since then He decides to make Dharamsala his home in Exile. His Holiness lives here with thousands of Tibetan refugees who escaped into India. Manali - With mountain adventures beckoning from all directions, Manali is a year-round magnet. Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India?s northern Himachal Pradesh state. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it is a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. 

Manali, at the northern end of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, is a hill station situated at a height of 2050m (6398 ft) in the Himalayas. A staging point for a number of treks and sports such as white-water rafting, Manali is also on the road to Ladakh via the valley of Lahaul and Spiti and the Rohtang Pass which is the main attraction near Manali.

Shimla - (also spelled as 'Simla') derives its name from the goddess 'Shayamla Devi', which is another manifestation of Goddess Kali. The capital of Himachal Pradesh came to light when the British discovered it in 1819. Till then, it was a part of the Nepalese kingdom. In 1864 Shimla was declared the summer capital of India. After Independence, Shimla became the capital of Punjab and was later named the capital of Himachal Pradesh. In 1903 a rail line was constructed between Kalka and Shimla.

Best Time to Visit Shimla Kullu Manali

Dharamshala and Dalhousie are very good places to visit throughout the year except for monsoons. In summer, tourists can enjoy paragliding and trekking here. Along with Indian tourists, people also come here from abroad also. The best time to visit Dharamshala and Dalhousie according to seasons are as below -

October to March (Autumn, Winter & Spring) - If you want to enjoy the beauty of Dharamshala and Dalhousie, the spring, autumn, and winter season are the best. These months the atmosphere is very quiet with clear blue skies. The entire area remains chilly from September to February. In winters, the temperature here is between 0 to 15 degrees Celsius. It starts snowing in late December and snow till February last. In winter, you will get to see many tourists and people visiting for their honeymoon here. It gets snow almost every second day in the winter. 

April to June (Summer) - These months, the weather starts warming up and the temperature starts rising. In the months of April to June, the temperature here ranges between 15 to 35 degrees Celsius. The weather is spectacular and pleasant all day. These days, you can do trekking and vacation with your family. Nature also blossoms in this season and the pine trees look green. People enjoy adventure activities on a large scale.

July to September (Monsoon) - It rains heavily in Dharamshala these days and a lot of water flows in rivers. These days one is not advised to travel to Dharamshala or Dalhousie and itis best avoided.

Early Morning, Visit H.H. Dalai Lama Temple (also known as Namgyal Temple)

Experience the Kora Holy walk (1 Hr) just outside the temple set in pristine wilderness, where you will see Buddhist monks and nuns chanting holy hymns. The entire route has small chortens and rocks painted with Tibetan scripts.

Well see Tse Chokling Monastery, St John in the Wilderness Church, a village school, Tibetan Medical Centre, and Norbulingka Institute (a learning centre for traditional Tibetan art and craft).

Full Day Sightseeing / Heritage Walk of Shimla

After breakfast, Leave for Heritage walk of Shimla

The best ways to explore this lovely hill town is on foot. Walk through the Lanes & Trails of this British Himalayan Town and know about the stories of the bygone era. The British built this town and left legacies. If you can manage to have an Ariel view of Shimla you will notice that the town is a museum of architecture. Victorian, post Victorian, gothic, Georgian, Tudor, Moc-Tudor, Bavarian, neo, Lyutens, and modern all example are there at one place. The entire length of this walk comes under Shimla?s Heritage Zone. Christ Church is the most prominent landmark of Shimla and from here the walk extends west towards the Viceregal Lodge.


Highlights of the Walk: The most imposing and attractive structures which include castles, temple, heritage hotels, banks and government offices are the highlights of this walk. They are some of the best examples of British Architecture of the era and reveal history and various interesting stories of the glorious past. They will compel you to glance at them from every angle. A brief description of some of them is given here. In general: we assemble at the Christ Church at the Ridge at 10 a.m. and begin our walking tour.

Our Toy Train journey today offers some spectacular views of the valleys as it twists its way down gradually from Shimla to Khandaghat (approx. 2 hours). The Kalka?Shimla railway is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow-gauge railway in North India which traverses a mostly-mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla. It is known for dramatic views of the hills and surrounding villages. The railway was built under the direction of Herbert Septimus Harington between 1898 and 1903 to connect Shimla, the summer capital of India during the British Raj, with the rest of the Indian rail system.

The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

  • Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
  • Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
  • Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The Indemnity form should be completed filled, signed and returned to the Company along before starting any kind of adventure activity.
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option chosen on per day basis.
  • Please  note  and  be  well  informed  that  there  will  be  no  refund  of  money  after  the  package commences and if one cannot complete activity or gets sick enroute.

  1. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour is taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures and disputes.
  2. The  booking  is  accepted  on  the  understanding  that  you  realize  the  potential  risks  and hazards that can be involved in holidays of this kind. Holiday Moods, along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.
  3. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. The travel insurance should cover Adventure Holiday too. We can help you incase required
