Visit - Pangot - A Birdwatcher's Paradise
The best time to visit Pangot is from September to June, where various bird species are seen in different seasons. The winter season is the best time to see the upper Kumaon Himalayan birds, which migrate to Subtle during the cooler months. If you go in January, you may get a rare experience of snowfall in Pangot. It also offers a spectacular view of the Kumaon Himalaya
By Road: Pangot is well connected by motorable roads with major cities of Northern India in Uttarakhand. Buses and taxis travel easily to Pangot, NH-87 is located 17 km before Nainital. You can easily get buses to Kathgodam from major cities like Delhi. Pangot can be reached easily by about half an hour's drive from Nainital.
By Air: The nearest airport to Pangot is at Pantnagar. Pangot is about 58 km from Pantnagar, one can easily take a bus or taxi to Pangot from Pantnagar Airport. Pangot distance can be covered easily in 1 hour
By Train: The nearest railway station to Pangot is at Kathgodam. Kathgodam railway station is well connected to the railway network of major cities of India from where Pangot is located 20 kilometers. You can easily cover the distance from Kathgodam railway station to Panagot in half an hour.
