Mount Kilimanjaro Trek

The Kilimanjaro Trekking Trail has attracted a  plethora of mountaineers, travel, and nature enthusiasts for a long period of time. Being the tallest mountain of the African continent, conquering its summit is a bucket list item for many. 

This package offers you the most popular and scenic route to climb Mount Kilimanjaro; the Machame Route. You navigate through rainforests, alpine zones, grasslands, and glacial snow at the top to reach the summit of this volcano. 

Over the course of 7 nights and 8 days, you have the opportunity to experience the African mountain, culture, wilderness, and wildlife including giraffes, buffalos, colobus monkeys, bush uck, dik-diks, etc.

1

Arrival in Moshi
Moshi

Arrive at the Moshi Airport in Tanzania and transfer to your accommodation. Orient yourself with this quaint locality with spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

2

Machame Camp (11km/2835m)
Machame Camp

Drive down to the Machame Gate from your accommodation and assemble with your climbing team to begin your trek. You start off from the South West side of the mountain and navigate through low alpine zones & rainforests to arrive at the Machame Camp. Rest in your tents after having a hearty dinner.

Shira Camp (5km/3850m)
Shira Camp

Wake up early and trek through alpine zones and grasslands to arrive at Shira Camp. The ascent today is steep as you climb almost one kilometer in about 4 hours. Shira Camp sits on a plateau which provides you with the first views of Kibo in the North-West and Mount Meru in the East.

Lava Tower / Barranco Camp (11km/3900m)
Barranco Camp

Todays trek is east off the Shira Plateau through the ?Garden of the Senecios?, up to Lava Tower and the Shark?s Tooth rock formation at 4,600 meters and then back down via the Southern Circuit to Barranco Camp.

Barafu Camp (9.5km/4680m)
Barafu Camp

The day begins with traversing up the Barranco Wall: a 257 meter rock face that requires basic scrambling skills to the top of the Karanga Valley. Descend down to the Karanga Camp. After a short break, depart for the Barafu Camp and arrive by late afternoon and rest in your tent.

Kilimanjaro Summit / Mweka Camp (15.5km/5895m/3100m)
Mweka Camp

You will depart at 12am today to trek toward the highest point of your journey, the Mount Kilimanjaro Summit. After 4.5kms of the last stretch of ascent on glacial ice, you reach Stella Point (150m below the summit) where you can take a short break. Continue on to the summit and reach by dawn. Take in the amazing views from the roof of Africa and savour your memories by clicking endless pictures. Begin a descent for 11km to proceed to Mweka Camp in the rainforest.

Mweka Gate / Moshi (1640m)
Moshi

The last day of your trek, descend down to the Mweka Gate through lush green forests on a very easy trail. After your trek terminates, transfer to your hotel in Moshi and wear off your adventurous journey.

Departure for Airport
Moshi

Post breakfast, depart for the airport for your flight back home as the amazing experience of the Mount Kilimanjaro?s Summit culminates.

The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of letter.

No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making the bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option chosen on a per day basis.
  • Please  note  and  be  well  informed  that  there  will  be  no  refund  of  money  after the package commences and if one cannot complete activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed
  • It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour is taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures and disputes.
  • The  booking  is  accepted  on  the  understanding  that  you  realize  the  potential  risks  and hazards that can be involved in holidays of this kind. The organiser along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  • Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue.
