About Mount Mahadev Peak Trek

Mahadev Peak is located in the Srinagar district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is a hilltop around Dachigam National Park in Srinagar. Mount Mahadev is the highest peak of the Zabarwan Range and is also the highest point of the district Srinagar. 

Located at an altitude of 3966 meters (13011 ft) ASL overlooking the city of Srinagar, Mount Mahadev is visible from most areas of the city of Srinagar. It is close to Dachigam National Park and the region is rich in flora and fauna due to its close proximity to the National Park. The summit city of Mount Mahadev offers breathtaking views of Srinagar, Dachigam National Park, Mount Nun Kun, Mount Kolahoi, Mount Harmukh.

Mahadev summit is done for walking on grasslands and climbing loose rocks. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to climb to the top, the tarsar of the Kashmir valley, and the twin lakes of Marsar reward the spectacular view. 


Best Time To Visit Mahadev Peak Trek
The best time to trek to Mount Mahadev Summit trek is from October to June. During this period, due to the huge scores of pilgrims, special security arrangements are made, leading to trekking activity.


How To Reach Mt. Mahadev Summit Trek
By Road - Mount Mahadev Peak which is located close to Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir. Srinagar is about 830 km away from Delhi. From Srinagar, you can take a cab to Faqir Gujri which is about 21 km away from Srinagar. 

By Rail - The nearest railway station of Mount Mahadev Peak is in Srinagar which is located in Jammu and Kashmir. From Srinagar railway station you can take a cab to Faqir Gujri which is about 21 km away from Srinagar. After about 1 hour drive you will reach Faqir Gujri.

By Air - The nearest airport to Mount Mahadev Peak is located in Srinagar. You can take a Taxi from Srinagar Airport to Fakir Gujri  Fakir Gujni is 21 km away from Srinagar.

Itinerary

Day

1

Drive from Srinagar to Road Head ( 1 Hour Drive ) . Trek from Faqir Gujri , Daraa to Lidwas via Bobjan . ( 6 Hour Hike )
Lidwas

Arrive at Srinagar and drive to Faqir Gujri in the morning. You Will be around 1 hour drive to Faqir Gujri and explore the Beautiful Views.

Trek Start from Faqir Gujri to Lidwas via Bobjan around 6 hours of hiking, and the spectacular nature views are seen at Lidwas.

Day

2

Trek from Lidwas to Summit and return to Lidwas .( 7 Hours Hike )
Lidwas

Today early morning after breakfast you will start trekking from Lidwas to Summit, It is Trek around 7 hours of hiking, and you can enjoy the beautiful views in Summit. Return back to Lidwas from Summit in the evening.

3

Lidwas to Faqir Gujri Daraa. ( 4 Hour Hike )
Lidwas

Today is the last day of the trek, after about 4 hours of hiking after breakfast in the morning, you will return Back Faqir Gujri.

Cancellation Policy
The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option is chosen on per day basis.
  • Please note and be well informed that there will be no refund of money after the package commences and if one cannot complete the activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.

  1. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour are taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures, and disputes.
  2. The booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the potential risks and hazards that can be involved in the holidays of this kind. The organizer along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  3. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you in case required
  4. The Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident, etc.
