Zoji La is a high mountain pass in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, located on the National Highway 1 between Srinagar and Leh in the western part of the Himalayan mountain range. It separates Kashmir Valley from its west to Dras Valley to its north-east.

Dras Valley: The second coldest inhabited place in the world, and the coldest place in India. Dras is known for its high-altitude trekking routes. It remains a tourist attraction, also known as the gateway to Ladakh.

Alchi Math or Alachi Gompa is a Buddhist monastery, known as a monastic complex of temples (Chaturbhuj) in Alchi village in Leh district of the Indian state under the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council of Jammu and Kashmir. There are four different settlements on the campus at Alchi village for varying periods in the lower Ladakh region. Of these four settlements, Alchi Monastery is said to be the oldest and most famous. It has been administered by the Likir Math.

The Hall of Fame is a museum built by the Indian Army in memory of brave Indian soldiers, who laid down their lives while conservancy the motherland in Indo-Pak. The Hall of Fame Museum is located on the Leh-Kargil route, about 4 km from the city of Leh. It reminds us of the great sacrifices made by our soldiers to ensure the safety and security of our country.

The Shey Monastery or Gompa and Shey Palace are located on a hillock in Shey, that is 15 Km to the south of Leh in Ladakh, India. The original palace was built near the Shey village by Lhachen Palgyigon. the king of Ladakh then called Maryul. The Shey Monastery is famous for its giant copper with gilded gold statue of a seated Shakyamuni Buddha. It is said to be the second largest such statue in Ladakh. Shakyamuni Buddha is so named since Buddha was the sage of the Sakya people who resided in the Himalayan foothills and their capital was Kapilvastu.

Pangong Lake is the most important tourist attraction of Ladakh. This blue expanse of Endorik Lake is located at an elevation of 4350 meters and looks as if it is a piece of heaven that fell to the earth. Surrounded by barren mountains, this lake is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in Ladakh. Pangong is a transboundary lake that stretches for about 134 kilometers between India and China. About one-third of the lake is in India and its average width is about 5 kilometers and it is the largest saltwater lake in the world. The banks of the lake are so stunning that many Bollywood films have been shot here. One thing that attracts tourists here is that saltwater reaction occurs when the sunlight falls in different colors of water.

Khardung La is a mountain pass in the Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The local pronunciation is "Khardong La" or "Khardzong La" but, as with most names in Ladakh, the romanised spelling varies. The pass on the Ladakh Range is north of Leh and is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys.the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft).

Nubra Valley is a tri-armed valley located northeast of the Ladakh Valley. About 150 km north of the city of Leh, the capital of Ladakh administrative division of Jammu and Kashmir, India, is the headquarters of the subdivision and Nubra tehsil. Local scholars state that its original name was Ldumra (Valley of Flowers). The Shyok River joins the Nubra or Siachan River forming a large valley that separates the Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. The Shyok River is a subsidiary of the Indus River. The average elevation of the valley is about 10,000 feet i.e. 3048 meters above sea level. The most common way to reach this valley is to travel from Leh city to Khardung La Pass. Foreign nationals are required to obtain a protected area permit to travel to the Nubra Valley. Indian citizens are required to obtain an Inner Line Permit to visit the Valley from 1 April 2017.
