Overview

Kargil is a beautiful city and joint capital of the Union Territory of Ladakh in India. Kargil is the second largest city of Ladakh after Leh. It is situated on the banks of river Suru at a distance of 204 km east of Srinagar and 234 km west of Leh. Kargil is situated in the high Himalayan mountains, which enjoys pleasant summers and cool winters. In the months of November to February, the temperature here drops to below zero levels. The temperature here reaches -10°C to -14°C during winters. In the months from November to February, there is a lot of snowfall here, the Himalayas and the whole place is covered with a sheet of snow. Due to which it gets very cold here. The tropical climate here makes this place one of the best and most exciting places to visit in winters. The Dosmoche Festival is celebrated here during the winter season, another important festival celebrated in the region, held in the second half of February. And the Losar Festival is celebrated on the arrival of the new year.

How to reach Kargil, Nubra & Pangong Lake

Ladakh is a union territory located in the Himalayas of northern India. By Air
If you want to go to Leh by air then this is the easiest way. The nearest airport to Ladakh is located in Leh, which is known as Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. This airport is connected to many international airports of India like Delhi, Mumbai. This airport also receives flights from other general destinations in India. Have all your documents (e-tickets) ready before you enter Ladakh from the airport. You can easily take a taxi outside the airport to reach your required destination.


Best Time to Visit
Winter Season in Ladakh: Some people believe that the best time to visit Ladakh is in the summer season, with the temperature being quite comfortable. However, if you are adventurous and like to travel in winters then you can plan a trip to Kargil, Nubra & Pangong Lake. The average temperature here ranges from -10°C to -14°C in winters, during these months the entire place is covered with white snow which offers rare views of Kargil. Apt to experience the beauty of the place in the winter season.

Arrive in Leh

Arriving in Leh after experiencing a wonderful flight over the Himalayas, you will be greeted by our representative outside the airport. From where you will be transferred to the hotel. Check your hotel and take some rest. Late afternoon, if your health allows, you can enjoy visit spectacular views in Leh

2

Indus Valley tour, Explore Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery (altitude 3230 m) and Hemis Gompa (altitude 3450 m)

Morning post breakfast, you start the day by visiting Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, and the Shey Palace.

Shey Palace is located at a distance of 15 kms from Leh city. Which was built in the 16th century AD. The 10 meters high copper statue of Lord Buddha is located in this monastery.
Thiksey Monastery: is a gompa belonging to the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. This monastery is situated on a 3600-meter peak on an Indus Valley hill, about 19 km east of Leh. Inside this building are adorned with many art objects like stupas, statues, thangkas, wall paintings, and swords etc.

Hemis Monastery: This monastery is located 45 km from Leh, it was established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal. The annual Hemis festival honoring Padmasambhava is held in early June.

Drive to Kargil (220 km / 5 hrs approx)

After breakfast In the morning, you will reach Kargil via Lamayuru by car. Enjoy the beautiful Kargil landscape along the way, explore places like Magnetic Hill, Stone Sahib, Sangam Road, Alchi Math, Basgo Fort, etc. On arrival in Kargil check your accommodation and take rest.

Kargil Explorations
Kargil

Wake up early in the morning and start your day with the sunrise. After breakfast, you will visit some of the places of interest in Kargil like Drass, War Memorial, and Hunderman Museum. Dras is the second coldest inhabited place in the world and the coldest place in India. Dras is known for its high-altitude trekking routes. It remains a center of attraction for tourists, which is also called the gateway of Ladakh.

Drive to Leh
Leh

Wake up in the morning and have breakfast, after breakfast, you will see morning prayer and gathering of monks at Lamayuru Monastery and then head back to Leh.

Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla. (160 Kms / 5 Hrs)
Nubra Valley

After a heavy breakfast in the morning, you will drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardungla. It is the highest motorable road in the world, situated at an altitude of 5602 meters above sea level. And then drive along a zigzag trail to Hunder village. After arriving at Hunder, check into your accommodation, and in the afternoon enjoy the beauty of the sand dunes and double humpback camel.

Explore Diskit, Hunder, Pangong Lake (Via Shayok)

Get up early in the morning, Today visit Diskit monastery and have a wonderful view of Nubra valley. and then leave to explore Pangong Lake via Shayok. You enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes. Capture the beautiful view of the lake with your memories on your phone or camera. Visit Thiksey Monastery and Shypales and then drive back to Leh.

Fly Back with sweet Memories of Ladakh

After an early breakfast, depart to the airport for onward destination, fly with sweet memories of Ladakh.

The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option is chosen on per day basis.
  • Please note and be well informed that there will be no refund of money after the package commences and if one cannot complete the activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.

COMPANY LIABILITY

  1. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour are taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures, and disputes.
  2. The booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the potential risks and hazards that can be involved in the holidays of this kind. The organizer along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  3. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you in case required
  4. The Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident, etc.
