Overview

Jagatsukh Peak Trek
Consolation Peak at 5350 M near Manali is the perfect peak for experienced trekkers looking for a challenge. The Jagatsukh Peak expedition lets you traverse glaciers and crevasses. This is a less popular option among beginner climbers but a great opportunity to learn front pointing and ice climbing techniques.

This peak is located in the Kully valley, starting from Manali. The locals believe that the Kullu valley is the abode of Gods. This peak is suitable for hikers and first-time climbers. The summit is very peculiar because the summit is not a sharp ridge, but a snow dome like an ice cap. The path to the approach march of this peak is through the beautiful Jagatsukh village near Manali.

The beauty of the trail changes from dense forests to birch trees to meadows to glaciers as one comes up. The trek shows every element of the Himalayas showcasing lakes and waterfalls. Even within 6000 meters, the mountain needs to be climbed in a mountaineering style. It requires load ferries, technical terrain, and the use of fixed ropes, crampons, ice axes, etc.

This arduous trek will bring you an unparalleled experience, so that your adrenaline will rise to the next level, making you unforgettable for a lifetime.

Best Season to Visit Jagatsukh Peak

The best season for this trek is mainly between summer and early winter. Therefore, May and June and then from September to October is the ideal month for this trek.
The trail crosses dense grasslands, towering mountains, remote villages, suspended glaciers, panoramic views, huge cliffs and stunning terrain.
