Parvati Valley Hiking Difficulty Level

This Parvati valley hiking trip is all about comforts. The trails chosen are also simpler. The day hike to Chalal village is an easy one with lovely scenery. The hike to Tosh waterfalls is also easy and spectacular. Kheerganga is a moderate hike with ups and downs and a long day. Malana village hike will be the longest day walking up from the taxi stand and back.

Chalal is a small quaint village in Himachal Pradesh. Which is situated at an altitude of more than 5000 feet, it is about 30 minutes away from Kasol, which gives you a feeling of true peace. Chalal village has so far managed to retain its old-world hill village and rustic charm. Many trekkers and hikers come here every year, who camp under the stars of the sky and enjoy hot tea. About Malana Village

Tosh Village is a great destination for adventures, situated on the edge of the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh, at an altitude of 7,874 feet. Tosh village is a hidden gem of Himachal, which offers a splendid view with many waterfalls apart from the mighty Himalayas and Tosh Waterfalls. The Tosh River, a tributary of the Parvati River, is a great trekking and hiking spot. You will fall in love with the immense beauty of Tosh Valley.



About Kheerganga

Kheerganga is the most popular of all the destinations in Parvati Valley. Which takes you on a hike between the jungles through some amazing scenery. One does not need any trekking or hiking experience for visiting Kheerganga. The trek to Kheerganga at 9700 feet, can be taken through two routes i.e. through Kalga or Pulga, and both these routes divert from Barshaini. 



Best Time to Visit Parvati Valley (Kheerganga)

The best time for hiking and trekking in Parvati Valley is from March to June or one can visit Parvati Valley after the monsoon in the months of September to November. The summer and autumn months are a good time to do all the treks in and around Parvati Valley, including Kasol, Malana, Chalal, Tosh, and many more villages. Skies remain clear and blue and the weather is also very pleasant in these months. 



How To Reach Parvati Valley by Flight, Train & Road

There are many routes to reach Parvati Valley, you can reach Parvati Valley very easily by air, rail, and road. Apart from this, this is also the route to reach Kheerganga. The valley is well connected by road to all the major cities of North India. The nearest airport is Bhuntar, which is about 6 kilometers from Kasol. After arriving at the airport, you can take local buses or taxis to Kasol, Tosh, and Kheerganga. The rest of the routes are as follows -


By Air - The nearest airport to the Valleys is Bhuntar in Kullu. The valley is about 50 kilometers from this airport. From here you can easily get a local bus and taxi to the valley.


By Train - The nearest railway to the valleys is the Chandigarh railway station. The distance to the railway station is about 250 km from the valley. You can come to Chandigarh and come to the valley by bus or taxi.


By Road - If you are going through your car, then you have to reach Mandi first. After this, you continue on to Manali highway. After driving further, you get to the town of Bhuntar which is the gateway to the Parvati Valley.

1

Arrive Kullu and transfer to Kasol (40km/ 1:30mins)
Kasol

All Volvo coaches usually arrive in Kullu early in the morning. We receive you at the bus stand and transfer you to the accommodation of your choice. Post lunch, we take you for an acclimatization walk around Kasol. Overnight in Kasol

2

Hike to Chalal Village
Kasol

After breakfast, we will start the trek to Chalal village, taking one through a dense coniferous forest.After about 2 hours of a comfortably-paced trek, we will reach Chalal village, tucked away deep in the forest. Guarded by pine trees and lovely cafes, this place is known for its produce of hashish. Explore the small town for a while, before heading back to Kasol. Overnight in Kasol

Visit to Malana Village
Kasol

We drive from Kasol to Malana via Jari in a private car. From Jari to Malana(24 km) it takes around 60 mins. Malana Village has a population of around 500 people and the walk around Malana is a wonderful hike and an amazing place to explore. Drive back to Kasol and overnight

Drive to Tosh Village from Kasol/ Hike to Tosh Waterfall (2400M)
Tosh Village

The drive to the Tosh village is scenic and offers splendid vistas of the breathtaking Parvati Valley. Leaving the car at the parking lot, we start on a goat track up the hill to the Tosh WaterfallThe trek to Tosh waterfalls covers a distance of around 2.5 KM. Relish in the lap of mother nature and enjoy the serene view, while listening to the soothing sounds of nature. The path gets steeper in some areas as we climb up towards the waterfall. After reaching the waterfalls, enjoy yourself with nature. Check into a Himalayan lodge and stay at the Tosh Village. Enjoy dinner along with a campfire and overnight in Tosh Village.

Drive from Tosh Village to Barshaini/ Day trek to KheerGanga

We leave after breakfast from Tosh village for Rudranag via Barsheni (7km/ 45mins) in local jeeps. Kheerganga is believed to be where Lord Shiva meditated for thousands of years. The trek to Kheerganga at 9700 feet, can be taken through two routes � Rurdanag and Kalga � Pulga. Both these routes divert from Barshaini. After walking through the dense pine, crossing numerous streams, and soaking in nature�s awesomeness you manage to ascend the path. Rudranag route is exciting and difficult while Kalga route is more flat, without trees, and more cafes, and resting places. Kheer Ganga has a pleasant little hamlet with a small temple of Lord Shiva and more hot springs. Along the way, encounter and enjoy rivers, small bubbling streams, apple orchards, and splendid, sloping greens of the Parvati Valley. Upon reaching the top, you can finally take a dip in the much-awaited hot springs of Kheerganga. Return back to Kasol for overnight

Cancellation Policy
The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option is chosen on per day basis.
  • Please note and be well informed that there will be no refund of money after the package commences and if one cannot complete the activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.

  1. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour are taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures, and disputes.
  2. The booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the potential risks and hazards that can be involved in the holidays of this kind. The organizer along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  3. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you in case required
  4. The Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident, etc.
