Overview

About Guwahati River Cruise

The journey of the Brahmaputra River Cruise starts from Guwahati. The Brahmaputra River is one of the great rivers of India, which flows through the Tibetan Himalayas through Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and falls into the Bay of Bengal merging into the Indo Gangetic plains. Cruising this beautiful river is a very interesting experience with spectacular evenings witnessing magnificent sundowners.

This Guwahati cruise trip offers something for everyone. For those who love wildlife, it provides a great opportunity. In this cruise journey when you reach Kaziranga National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), you will get to see and do activities like cycling, wildlife national park visits, village culture, tea garden walks, and jeep safaris. You get the opportunity to visit one of the famous national parks in the world's largest river islands including Majuli. We provide you luxury services throughout this cruise trip.

Best Time to Visit Guwahati, Assam

Assam is a spectacular state, especially with the cruise offers. There are different attractions in every season, but the best season for you to visit Assam is from October to April with Guwahati as the gateway.

October to April - This is the best season for traveling and spending holidays in Assam. These months the minimum temperature of the weather is around 10? - 15? celsius which makes the experience a very pleasant one.

There are four distinct seasons in Assam - summer, monsoon, autumn, and winter. The best time to visit Assam is in the autumn and winter seasons, i.e. from October to April, which is also the festive season of Assam.

While winter days are usually sunny, the temperature can fall to 10 degrees Celsius (46 F) at night. Our cabins are air-conditioned and heated for your comfort, but you should include warm clothing, hats, and jackets in your packing when visiting during the winter months.

Kaziranga National Park is open from 1st November until the 30 th of April. During October and May, the Park has a ?Partially Open? status which means that the Park will be open but that not all roads may be navigable as they work to restore them to pre-monsoon standards.

Please note, there are no elephant-backed or jeep safaris between May and October. Boat safaris will be offered instead during these months. During the months that the Kaziranga National Park is closed, we are able to explore the shores of the Park with our expedition boats.

We will cruise the Park shoreline and many of the riverine islands that are home to a number of animals and a wide variety of birds.

During the peak winter season of mid-December to mid-February, the itinerary will be adjusted according to daylight hours as the motor vehicle does not sail during darkness. In order to provide for full coverage of the Kaziranga National Park during these winter months, we will not visit Bishwanath Ghat
