Best Time To Visit Greenland
Greenland is a wonderful and few places left on Earth that are still untouched. Experience sighting of Northern Lights, Midnight Sun, many more included along with adventure activities. Here is the information which tells you which is the best time to go to Greenland, and what activities can be done in which season: -

June to September - Summer Season
Summer is considered to be the best time to visit Greenland, because these days are very pleasant, and most of the coasts are ice-free. During this season, you can see a variety of animals such as Arctic hares, reindeer, and muskox grazing in the southern region of Greenland. Apart from this, tourists can also see the Northern Lights in the beginning of August. Further north you can see the midnight sun, providing plenty of light for tourists who want to go down the fjords and explore the local towns. At the end of summer, you can also see whales, as many species of whales pass close to the coast at this time.

December to March - Winter Season
The winter season in Greenland is ideal for tourists who want to go dog sledding and do many snow activities. Northern Lights can also be seen during the winter season from October to March. The sun first appears over Disko Bay in mid-January. The nights are dark and clear in this season and the early autumn is the peak whale-watching season.

One can see many kinds of whales such as blue, bowhead, fin, humpback, minke, pilot and sperm whales as well as beluga whales. It is cold in Greenland during the winter season, during this time the average temperature here remains up to -18° C, and sometimes it goes even lower.

How To Reach Greenland
Whatever tourists think about Greenland, one thought comes to their mind: how to go to Greenland? Greenland can generally be reached by two routes, by sea and by air. Let us know about both -

By Air
One of the easiest ways to get to Iceland is by plane. The country's two largest airports are Narsarsuaq and Kangerlussuaq. Additionally, you can fly to the capital Nuuk from Canada or Iceland during the summer season to visit the country.

Going to Greenland is very expensive because there are only two airlines, Air Iceland and Air Greenland. Most of the flights here come during the summer days, in the summer season you can take flights from Copenhagen, Keflavik, Reykjavik, and Iqaluit.

By Cruise
You can also reach the country with the help of a cruise. There are many expedition cruises to Greenland from Canada and Iceland. Swan Hellenic 5-star boutique ships offer journeys to Greenland which are all-inclusive with the greatest luxury thrown in.
