The best time to visit Gangtok and Darjeeling is during the spring-summer months, these days the weather here is pleasant. The months of October to the end of May, the Himalayas are mostly sunny during the day. The rhododendron flowering season is during the months from March to May is a spectacular sight to behold. Monsoon arrives in the months of June to September, travel to Gangtok should be avoided these days.

In the months of March to June, the temperature here generally remains between 23 to 28 degrees Celsius. Darjeeling is a beautiful city in West Bengal. Whose height are 2042 meters above sea level? It is also known as "Queen of Hills''. Darjeeling offers spectacular snow-capped views of many high peaks, all of which are the highest peak Kanchenjunga. Darjeeling's serene environment and natural greenery attract tourists, it is also popular for its waterfalls, villages, and narrow-gauge railway tracks. Apart from this, the world-famous tea garden is also the main attraction here.

Explore Darjeeling

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest, etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden.

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park(closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate(from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda.

Explore Gangtok

Breakfast at the hotel and a full-day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 km from Gangtok at an altitude of 1650 meters. The lake derives its waters from melting snow off the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake?s waters.

Gangtok is situated at an altitude of 1650 meters above sea level. The town has many ancient monasteries besides being surrounded by orchids. This is a special attraction for those who want to visit North Sikkim. Apart from many sightseeing places in Gangtok, you can see flower shows, handicrafts, Tibet Institute of Science, Do Drul Chorten and Bakthang Falls, etc.

Gangtok - Kalimpong 83 Kms / 3 Hours Approx

Kalimpong is a magnificent and popular hill station located in West Bengal. It is situated at an altitude of 1250 meters above sea level. The weather here is pleasant, making it an ideal option for a tourist getaway. Until the early 1700s, Kalimpong was in the possession of the King of Sikkim, but was taken over by the King of Bhutan in the early 18th century. But in 1865, after the Anglo-Bhutan War, Kalimpong was merged with Darjeeling. After this Scottish missionaries came to the city in the late 1800s. By the 1950s, a wool trading center was started in Kalimpong, which was shared with Tibet, thus making the city flourish. At present, it is a popular tourist destination.

Afternoon proceeds for a city tour visiting Delo Hill, Mangal Dham, Durpin Hill, and flower nurseries.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option is chosen on per day basis.
  • Please note and be well informed that there will be no refund of money after the package commences and if one cannot complete the activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.

The organizer along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday.

Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you in case required
