Best Time To Visit Darjeeling

Travelers like to travel to Darjeeling and Sikkim in the summers and also in the winter season. If you are planning to go to Darjeeling or Sikkim, then you must check the weather before planning. If the weather is good during your trip, then the journey can become even more memorable.

October to March - This is the best time to visit. Autumn, Winter, and Spring are the best time to travel. The weather gets slightly chilly but the skies are lovely and blue. The winter starts from October onwards. Snow starts falling from December onwards till mid-Mid at various altitudes. You should always bring some warm clothes to go in this season.

April to June - This is summertime! This season is very pleasant. Between April and June, the temperature in Darjeeling and Sikkim is around 5 degrees Celsius minimum and 30 degrees maximum again depending upon the altitude. This month is better for traveling, though you will also find a lot of travelers thronging the place.

July to September - During these months there is heavy rainfall in Darjeeling and Sikkim. The travel time between July and September should be avoided. Mountain roads become bad during the rain, making travel difficult and unreliable. If you like the rainy season, then you can come here at the last of September as the rains are receding and you can capture the spectacular experiences with your camera.

Gangtok: The capital of Sikkim, combines tradition and modernity. Some of the most popular scenic spots include rumtek monastery Central, Tsongmo Lake, Nathu La Pass, Tashi  the View Point and the local market, Red Market
