Day

1

Arrival in Manaus
Manaus

Arrive in Manaus, the capital of Amazonas State of Brazil. By afternoon, embark on the cruise ship that is going to be your home for the coming 5 nights. Our representatives will welcome you and give you a briefing about the course of the cruise. The ship heads downstream to the Encontro das Águas, where the Rio Negro joins the Rio Solimões. Have a tasty dinner on board.

2

Jungle Hike / Piranha Fishing

This morning, you wake up on the Lago Janauacá river. Before breakfast, the ship weighs down the anchor for you to disembark and hike in the jungle to look for various bird species like parrots, toucans or stink birds. Post breakfast, go for another walk in the jungle to observe the flora and fauna. You might spot the exclusive Amazon River Dolphin. After lunch, disembark via zodiac boats and fish for Piranhas. Come nightfall, go for another excursion to spot nocturnal animals.

Terra Preta Village

Early in the morning, you will have a chance to see Victoria Amazonica, exclusive water lilies, along with capuchin monkeys. In the afternoon, you visit the village of Terra Preta, where you get insight into the daily life of the village. In the early evening, you take a boat trip to observe forest animals in their natural habitat.

Anavilhanas National Park

On a morning jungle trek, immerse yourself with 1,500 species of birds, 6,000 species of trees and 2.5 million species of insects of the Amazon Forest. Head to the Anavilhanas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that contains the Anavilhanas freshwater river archipelago, one of the largest in the world, a watery labyrinth of more than 400 islands.

Rio Negro

Disembark in zodiacs for an excursion in the morning. Have the opportunities to spot otters in these parts of the rainforest. Back aboard the cruise, enjoy Brazil’s national cocktail - the Caipirinha. By the days end, the ship will reach the pristine waters of Rio Negro.

Disembarkation
Manaus

After a short excursion in Rio Ariaú, the ship reaches back at the Manaus port. Disembark from the ship and head towards the airport for your flight back home as the amazing Amazon River Cruise experience culminates.

Terms & Conditions
Medical and Health: Guests should be in good physical health in order to be able to make the most of their cruise. Exploring the area involves the use of small, motorized skiffs and at times may include some wet landings. Daily excursions may include walking on irregular terrain, and getting in and out of the skiffs occasionally requires some physical effort. Walking excursions may last up to one hour. Malaria and yellow fever vaccinations are not required for Peru-bound travelers coming into the Amazon region but are recommended. 

Trip Cancelation Insurance:  Travelers are strongly advised to purchase trip cancellation insurance, which will reimburse the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. International medical, baggage loss and delay insurance are also recommended. We assume no liability for lost or stolen personal belongings. 

Dietary Needs: Please contact us at least 60 days prior to embarkation regarding travelers’ specific dietary needs. Every effort will be made to cater to special dietary needs and to accommodate special requests, subject to a given product’s availability. 

Travelers’ Responsibilities: Travelers have responsibilities toward both their fellow passengers and the crew. Every passenger should review the conditions contained in the trip itinerary, follow normal social behavior patterns with fellow passengers, observe all safety requirements on board and on excursions, and act in an appropriate and respectful manner toward the crew members and their fellow travelers.

a) Reservations made 121 days or more prior to departure: An initial deposit of US $400 per person is required to confirm the booking, with a second deposit of US $400 per person 120 days before departure. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure.

b) Reservations made 120 days to 91 days prior to departure: A deposit of US $800 per person is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure.

c) Reservations made 90 days or less prior to departure: A full, nonrefundable payment is required to confirm the booking.

a) Reservations made 91 days or more before departure: A deposit of US $400 per person is required to confirm the booking. The final balance is required 90 days prior to departure. If the payment is not received on time, the space(s) will be automatically released.
