Overview

7 Lakes of Dhauladhar Trek

Though Kareri Lake is the source of Nyund stream, at an elevation of about 3,000 meters it can also be accessed by a new route via the Khauli valley. The Lake lies below Minkiani Peak. The trek, one of the most stunning alpine treks, can also be reached following the Khauli River. The trek crosses several streams, through lush green meadows and thick forests home to numerous Himalayan birds and animal species. 

Lord Shiva temple overlooking the lake is the main attraction. This trek route to Kareri Lake originates from Salli village and follows Khauli River. This is a rarely visited route and is pristine free from all trekkers. One treks from Salli village to Daled Camp staying overnight at the camp. The next day climb takes one over the eastern ridge and approaches Kareri lake. 

It will be a full days trek descending back to Daled camp. The new latest and shortest route for the trek starts from Salli village and one can use Snow Monk Camp as the base. Snow Monk camp offers modern washrooms and toilets and delicious meals. It makes all the sense to use it as a base for treks such as Kareri lake.

Baleni Pass is accessed through the Khauli Valley which is also the source of Khauli River, at an elevation of about 3,750 meters located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The trek to Baleni Pass is one of the most stunning alpine treks in Himachal Pradesh. The trail crosses several gushing streams, through lush green meadows and a thick forest that is home to numerous Himalayan bird and animal species. 

The Baleni Pass trek originates from Salli village and passes through a thick pine forest. From Salli village, there is a gradual ascend to Rehla campsite. The next day climb takes one over the eastern ridge and approaches the pass. It will be a full-day trek descending back to Rehla camp. 

Baleni Pass also offers access to Lam Dal seven holy lakes. The new latest and shortest route for the trek starts from Salli village and one can use Snow Monk Camp as the base. Snow Monk camp offers modern washrooms and toilets and delicious meals. It makes all the sense to use it as a base for treks such as Baleni Pass.

1

ARRIVE DHARAMSHALA & TRANSFER TO HOMESTAY
Salli Village

Pick up from Dharamshala Volvo bus stand and transfer to homestay in Salli/ Kotharna/ Nolli village. Check into a homestay.

Post lunch ? go for an acclimatization walk for around 7-8 kms

Return back to the homestay for evening tea. Soup & Dinner. Overnight at the homestay

DRIVE TO NOLLI BEND & TREK TO KARERI LAKE ( 3200 M ) / 9 Kms- 5 Hrs

Post breakfast, trek to Kareri Lake. Great spectacular views of the Dhauladhar snow mountains

TREK TO CHAGROTU ( 3000 M ) / 6 Kms - 4Hrs

Post Breakfast trek to Chagrotu. Arrive at the campsite around lunch time.

Post breakfast, Height gain day to Baleni Pass (3750 M). Post reaching the top, descend down to the choti dal camp site

Cancellation Policy
The package price will be deducted as per the following conditions strictly. No refund will be entertained without receiving a cancellation request effective from the date of receipt of the letter. 

Notice less than 60-46 days:  25% cost will be deducted
Notice less than 45-31 days:  50% cost will be deducted
Notice less than  30 days:    No Refund

Note: No refund will be given to people who are unable to complete the trip or abandon it due to any reasons.

  • The digital copy of the Indemnity form duly filled, signed and emailed to the company along with the booking amount. 
  • It will be deemed that the booking & payment policy is accepted by the clients while making bookings with the first deposit amount. 
  • If the client is forced to cancel the booking prior to departure, the cancellation policy will be followed.
  • In case of any delay beyond our control, the client will have to bear extra cost for the extra days as per the option is chosen on per day basis.
  • Please note and be well informed that there will be no refund of money after the package commences and if one cannot complete the activity or gets sick enroute. 
  • The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.

  1. It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour are taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, war, vehicle problems, political closures, and disputes.
  2. The booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the potential risks and hazards that can be involved in the holidays of this kind. The organizer along with our leaders/guides and anyone else working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday. 
  3. Before the guests come on a holiday, they must be covered by insurance, which has to include the cost of helicopter rescue, evacuation and cost of repatriation if they become too ill to continue. It is recommended that travel insurance should cover adventure activities undertaken. We can help you in case required
  4. The Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident, etc.
